Our new Bald Eagle has a name!

In late Fall or early Winter our newest Bald Eagle will arrive - and you've helped us pick a name!

Over 20,000 of you enjoyed voting recently at CivicFest in Minneapolis to help us choose a name for our young male. The final count is in, and "Wasa’ka", the Dakota name for strength is the winner! Here are the results:

Was' aka:  42.5 %
Apollo:   32 %
Halia:  12.5 %
Franklin:  8%
North Star:  5%

Thank you for your help!
